Dreamy Dublin Wedding In Zuhair Murad Gown

❤️ The TWC Effect – Our brides, their way ❤️

Donna & James had the most beautiful wedding day full of happiness to celebrate their love story. The couple tied the knot in Ireland surrounded by their nearest and dearest, here we hear all about it…

How did you meet?

We are both from County Armagh and met each other on a night out in Monaghan.

Was it love at first sight?

For me, not quite. Maybe yes for James! He was so kind & charming, it wasn’t long until we became best friends.

Who proposed and how? Lovely details, please!

James proposed on holiday in Tulum, Mexico. It was amazing! He booked a rooftop heart nest in the jungle and we got engaged at sunset, it was truly an amazing moment.

Did you have a theme for your wedding? How did it come about?

Not really, Luttrellstown Castle is amazing with lots of beautiful artwork, so I didn’t have to do much as there was already so much beauty and character in the venue. They created our table plan, menu and table stationary for us & had linen options for us to choose from so it was great I didn’t have to source these things.

Our bridesmaid dresses wore gold & the groomsmen wore light linen summer suits. James wore a brown suit. Our flowers were neutral colours with a hint of blue to match my Dad’s blue suit. Everything fell into place and tied in perfectly.

Location and how you found it?

Luttrellstown Castle Dublin, I found it on Instagram and knew straight away it was my dream venue.

How did you find The Wedding Club? Tell us about that moment when you found and chose your dress – how did it make you feel when you put it on for the first time?

The Wedding Club are amazing! Maddy made my experience so fun, we had the best day ever. I was looking for a lace dress but could not find the perfect one, then I found The Wedding Club. The moment I tried it on I knew it was my dress, I loved it so much.

Which designer did you wear?

Zuhair Murad.

Did you have speeches? Who performed them?

Yes, we had our speeches at our cocktail reception from the two Dads, James, James’ Dad and the Best Man. My sister also read a poem. We had our speeches outside on the steps of the Castle. During my dads speech he gifted James with a new wheelbarrow and shovel, it was very funny.

Did you have a first dance? What song did you choose and why? How was the performance?

Yes, our first dance was to I Love You Baby – Frank Sinatra. I love this song, we did a drop and everyone jumped in to dance along.

How was the party?

Amazing! We had Irish Folk Band All Folk’d Up, they really got the party going and had the dancefloor full all night long. We had Riff Shop for our afterparty, they were so much fun and great at keeping the vibes going until the early morning.

Wedding planning advice for brides to be?

Don’t stress and enjoy every moment of being engaged. It is such a lovely time, I look back now with so many beautiful memories. Everything will work out and fall into place.

One moment you’ll never forget:

There are so many moments that I cherish from our day. Walking down the aisle with my Dad was so special for me, I feel so lucky to have such an amazing Dad who is so kind and caring. I will never forget that special moment!
