How did you meet?
Initially at a party, and my first thoughts were ‘who is this guy’ and not in a good way! He was drunk and a little annoying… We met later down the line through friends and bonded over our love for Lee Evans and Coldplay.
Was it love at first sight?
No, but thankfully he grew on me! The 6 pack and humour helped.
Who proposed and how? Lovely details, please!
He took me to Italy for my 30th birthday and one evening surprised me with an evening visit to a secluded church. It was surrounded by nothing but lush green Tuscan rolling hills! He got down on one knee, it was perfect as no one was around (apart from a farmer), it felt so magical!
Did you have a theme for your wedding? How did it come about?
We wanted it to be rustic, to fit our Tuscany venue! The theme was very simple, with green and white flowers and nothing too fancy.
Location and how you found it?
As Lewis proposed in Tuscany, it became a very special place for us and it only felt right to get married there. We found the perfect venue within the same region!
How did you find The Wedding Club? Tell us about that moment when you found and chose your dress – how did it make you feel when you put it on for the first time?
A friend recommended TWC as she found her dress with you. The dress was actually the first one I tried on, I knew at that moment that was the dress I wanted to walk down the aisle in, it gave me butterflies!
Which designer did you wear?
Mila Nova
Where is the suit from? Why was it the perfect fit?
The suit was Moss Brothers and was a black tuxedo, classic and smart!
Did you have speeches? Who performed them?
My dad gave a speech, he had a few wines by then and knocked his wine over, it was very entertaining! Lewis then did his speech, which was followed by the two best men!
Did you have a first dance? What song did you choose and why? How was the performance?
We chose a song that was special to us and that none else would likely know. It’s called “4 Life” by Sabina Ddumba! I was actually really nervous about our first dance but we kept it traditional with a dress spin and then invited our friends and family to join us.
How was the party?
So much fun (from what I remember) we hired a professional DJ and saxophonist that have played at various iconic places around Europe including Nikki Beach in Ibiza and they did not disappoint!
Wedding planning advice for brides to be?
Don’t let anyone make the decisions for you, make sure it’s what you and your fiancé want! Try to enjoy the ride, as stressful as it can be at times, trust me, it’s all worth it!
One moment you’ll never forget:
I honestly can’t pick one moment, from start to finish, we had the most incredible wedding weekend! I’ll cherish those memories forever.
