TWC Reviews: Shiseido Vital Perfection

December 3, 2024 | Tags: ,

As the year is rounding up, looking back, it feels like so much has happened (as I’m sure we can all agree) and I have to say I’ve felt the toll. Feeling and looking tired, I was in need of a refresh, so I jumped at the chance to try a selection of Shiseido’s Vital Perfection hero products.

First up: Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming Advanced Enriched Cream

Aka the day cream of dreams. Honestly. I was blown away at how much brighter my skin looked after just a week of use. Feeling much fresher and firmer, you can really feel the quality in this product. The texture of the cream is thick but not heavy and it smells gorgeous to boot. Lovely start to the day. Upon doing my research (reading the label) I found that there’s actually some pretty stellar science involved, too.

‘It is formulated with ReneuraRED which strengthens the skins ability to detect and transmit signals from the brain’

So, in simpler terms, this means it prevents our skin from getting used to the skincare and so it continues to work as long as used. Pretty cool, right?

Next: Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming Overnight Treatment

I’m not sure why, but there’s something a little extra special about products working whilst you’re sleeping isn’t there?

This is basically the night time version of the above, with all the same technology but with extra benefits. These being: ‘Yarrow extract & Aqua-in-pool which promote the expression of the nighttime damage repair gene to regenerate and repair the skin during the night’

Magic.

Again this smells absolutely lovely and everybody knows that if stuff smells good it’s a form is self care – fact.

Last but not least: Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming Express Eye Mask

I’ve never had eye masks so big. They’re not gold, sparkly or particularly aesthetically pleasing but you can see and feel the quality of this product from the get go. Without the fuss and flair, they get the job done, and unlike some other brands, your eyes don’t feel dryer than before.

The size is actually a big part of why they work too, as they work on areas actively used in facial expressions, where wrinkles tend to appear. They’re infused with Retinol and ReNeura technology++ which is meant to ‘visibly improve dullness, dark circles and wrinkles for a brighter and more youthful looking eye area’.

Now, as we all know, sometimes it can be hard to tell how well these products actually work but I definitely felt like my under eyes were more radiant and they felt more moisturized.

Overall?

I would recommend these products.

They feel nice, they smell nice, the packaging is pretty and I’ve gotta say, you can feel the difference with their premium products. Although they are more expensive than others on the high street, I genuinely think there’s a good reason for that. The texture to touch, the science behind it and the feel of the creams on your skin is different to that of their competitors. Shiseido gets the thumbs up from us.
