Wonderfully Wintery London Wedding In Savannah Miller Gown

❤️ The TWC Effect – Our brides, their way ❤️

Bliss and Angus, its a match! This loved up duo took their romance from their screens all the way down the aisle and had the most magical day celebrating their love. They are here to share all the best bits with us today!

How did you meet?

Tinder; A modern day romance.

Was it love at first sight?

Definitely love at first swipe!

Who proposed and how? Lovely details, please!

We go on holiday every summer to the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. It takes about 13hrs door to door and we have to take a ferry from the Isle of Skye. We were heading there with some friends for an early Summer holiday, and he popped the question on a windy walk the evening before we were due to catch our ferry.

It was beautifully intimate and took me by complete surprise, despite the fact we were staying in a surprisingly nice hotel ha! A lovely evening followed with a beautiful dinner and lots of rosé!

Did you have a theme for your wedding? How did it come about?

We didn’t have a theme, but our venue was our local pub, so we wanted a cosy winter feel. We got married on the 16th of December so asked guests (if they wanted to) to bring a Christmas tree decoration to hang on a tree at the venue for us to remember the day in years to come.

Location and how you found it?

Our reception was held at our local pub called The Elgin which hosts many weddings and events so we were in safe hands!

How did you find The Wedding Club? Tell us about that moment when you found and chose your dress – how did it make you feel when you put it on for the first time?

Like most brides my first point of action after getting engaged was to create multiple Pinterest boards. I first came across my chosen dress on the site and hunted it down.

I was excited to find out that The Wedding Club was holding a trunk show for the designer and quickly booked an appointment. I came down with my mum and tried on a couple designs but ultimately went with the one I came for.

Which designer did you wear?

I wore ‘Winter’ by Savannah Miller – very fitting for the time of year!

Where is the suit from? Why was it the perfect fit?

Angus wore a wool/cashmere Ralph Lauren suit – again perfect for the time of year! Shirt by Emmet London on Jermyn Street.

Did you have speeches? Who performed them?

We had three – a father of the bride toast after we returned from taking pictures after the church service, groom and best man just before the dinner service. All three speeches were incredibly heartfelt and unique in different ways.

Did you have a first dance? What song did you choose and why? How was the performance?

Our first dance was ‘All I Want for Christmas’ by Mariah Carey perfect for a wedding so close to Christmas! We wanted to lean into it being quite humorous so created a short dance routine and very quickly got all our friends and family on the dancefloor!

How was the party?

We loved dancing so much that we continued the night at our local nightclub called Paradise – wedding dress securely packed away at home!

Wedding planning advice for brides to be?

Don’t feel pressured to create a day which doesn’t feel authentically yours. Your guests will have a great time regardless of what you plan. Buy all the wedding magazines and create all the Pinterest boards – make sure you really soak it in as it really does fly by.

One moment you’ll never forget:

Both Angus and I crying through our vows!
