Glitz And Glam Filled Northamptonshire Wedding In Zuhair Murad Gown

❤️ The TWC Effect – Our brides, their way ❤️

Millie & David found love through a mutual friend and celebrated that with a big joy-filled party of a wedding! The pair tied the knot surrounded by friends and family who danced the night away with our smitten pair, we’ve caught up with them to hear all about it…

How did you meet?

We met through Millie’s oldest school friend, Charlotte. Charlotte met David on her graduate scheme after university and we met at one of her birthday brunches in 2016.

Was it love at first sight?

Despite first meeting in 2016, it wasn’t until 3 years later in 2019 when David came across Millie’s hinge profile, screen-shotted it to Charlotte, she gave him Millie’s number and the love story began…. Just in time to lock down together in 2020!

Who proposed and how? Lovely details, please!

David proposed in Millie’s favourite city, Palma de Mallorca. The day after the proposal he surprised her by inviting her parents out to Mallorca to celebrate!

Did you have a theme for your wedding? How did it come about?

We chose a black tie theme having visited the venue and choosing our wedding date – we thought a glitz and glamour black tie wedding would be perfect for the venue!

Location and how you found it?

Rushton hall hotel and spa, Northamptonshire.

Millie is originally from Northamptonshire and when we decided we would get married in the UK, this was the top venue on her list.

How did you find The Wedding Club? Tell us about that moment when you found and chose your dress – how did it make you feel when you put it on for the first time?

Trying on my Zuhair Murad dress for the first time was so magical.  I fell in love with it straight away and knew it was “the one”! I loved the lace and the fit of the dress and was so excited to have found the perfect one.

Which designer did you wear?

Zuhair Murad

Where is the suit from? Why was it the perfect fit?

The bespoke tailor – yes tailored made so fitted David perfectly.

Did you have speeches? Who performed them?

We had four speeches – father of the bride, groom, best man and bride (it’s 2024 and only right the bride has the final say!)

Did you have a first dance? What song did you choose and why? How was the performance?

We did! We danced to an acoustic version of Never Too Much by Luther Vandross.

How was the party?

Fab! The sound house band performed and got everyone on the dance floor. We then had an after party in the venue’s cellar bar until 4am – there were a lot of sore heads in the morning!

Wedding planning advice for brides to be?

Enjoy every single moment of the planning process – before you know it, it’s all over!!

One moment you’ll never forget:

Our lovely friend Pete had created his own reading of different love song lyrics and read it during our ceremony with our singer, Cam Bloomfield.
